Time: 1:00 pm Eastern
Fundraising: We ask that participants find sponsors for funds or donate a minimum of $20, and families raise or donate a minimum of $50. Individuals and families raising $100 will receive a T-shirt (one per family). Additional T-shirts will be available for a $10 donation. Pledges may be obtained to raise additional funds. Register below or download a Registration Form and mail it to the conference office. Download a Bike Run Walk Pledge Form. You may turn in your pledge forms and pick up your t-shirt at the registration table. All of the funds raised will go into the CDC Leadership Development Fund. If you do not wish to collect pledges, you may add your registration fee and donations to your conference registration.
The Leadership Development Fund provides resources for our pastors, such as helping new pastors engage in the Transitioning into Ministry program provided by MC USA. The fund also helps provide the Healthy Boundaries Training program that trains all credentialed persons to identify the complexity of relationships in ministry and provides essential understandings and practical ways to manage these relational and ethical boundaries with integrity and faithfulness.
Walkers and Runners: Walkers and runners will sign in and receive maps and information at CMC on June 21. We will have a registration table in the lobby outside the fellowship hall. Registration is $20/individual and $50/family. You may turn in your pledge forms and pick up your t-shirt (if you have raised over $100). All of the funds raised will go into the CDC Leadership Development Fund. The official start time is 1:00 p.m., but you may start later if you wish. The registration table will be open until 3:00 p.m. Your route begins at CMC and heads west to the Goshen Dam and Millrace Trail. The trail has mile markers. Snacks will greet you back at CMC until 5 pm.
Bikers: Bikers will register and receive maps at CMC at the registration table located in the lobby outside the fellowship hall. T-shirts will be provided for those who raise $100. Minimum registration is $20/individual and $50/family. All proceeds go into the CDC Leadership Development Fund. The bike route will follow the Pumpkinvine Trail. You will go north on the Maple City Greenway from the church and meet up with the Pumpkinvine Trail at Abshire Park. This is a down and back route, so you can make it as short or as long as you wish. Please plan to carry a bottle of water with you. We will provide drinks and snacks when you return to CMC.
Logistics: You should bring your own equipment for this event, including bikes, running shoes, water bottles, etc. Consider bringing smartphones or GPS devices to help you on the route. It is important that you at least have a cell phone. Printed maps of routes will be provided ahead of time and the day of as well. Bike rental is available through Lincoln Avenue Cycling in Goshen.
